At Socio, we build community-driven sustainability from the ground up, turning food and beverage waste into meaningful impact. We are on a mission to reshape how Hong Kong thinks about waste. By measuring and analyzing the exact amount of food waste we upcycle, we display concrete, achievable green goals right on our menu for our guests to track.

The name Socio reflects our belief that true change requires a collective, grassroots approach to hospitality. Through local cross-partnerships and staff education, Socio is building a zero-waste ecosystem—one drink, one venue, and one community at a time.

Our Ethos

Society

We collaborate with local charities such as Hanuman, a charity helping support homeless and underprivileged people in Hong Kong, by providing meals as well as collaborating with food made good and zero footprint.

Sustainability

We keep our concept transparent on sustainable drinks. We measure and analyse how much food waste we upcycle and put it in the menu for customers to see an achievable goal.

Community

By fostering a community approach, we help to promote local businesses, create cross-partnerships all about being more sustainable, educate venues and staff on waste, and contribute towards reducing and recycling food waste. We have also hosted the Hong Kong university students on a new Master’s course on hospitality and sustainability.
